About

Richard Edward III is an accomplished actor, director, and producer based in Columbia, South Carolina, working throughout the Southeast. A proud member of the Actors' Equity Association, he has performed extensively across the region and beyond.

Born in Chicago but raised in Amsterdam, Richard Edward III fell in love with theater at a young age, making his stage debut as Nick Bottom in "A Midsummer Night’s Dream". After moving to Atlanta, he transitioned into film and television, starting with extra work and steadily building his career as an Extra, then as stand-in. His time on set allowed him to develop under the tutelage of actors such as Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Andrew Lincoln, Michael Dorman, & Joel Edgerton.

Seeking to refine his craft, Richard pursued a classical theater studio program at the University of Illinois before moving to Chicago, where he continued to develop his career on stage and screen. While working on a play in Chicago, he met his wife, a talented costume designer. Together, they moved to South Carolina to pursue their white picket fence dream, building a life and family while continuing their artistic careers.
